What is YOUNG
YOUNG is an initiative started for the development, upliftment and progress of the youth in general and to invoke leadership skills amongst the Youth in particular.
YOUNG seeks to cultivate a positive and refreshing outlook on what it means to be a Leader. It encourages everyone to explore how an Indian Youth, true to their own values and beliefs can become model citizens that will aid India to become a better place for all Indians, regardless of caste or creed.
YOUNG maintains the core value of its faith to serve the entire Humanity.
YOUNG encourages Youth to nurture a vision and execute unique and innovative ways to tackle significant political, social, cultural, religious issues etc.
The Internet as we all know is the most effective way to reach out to the Youth. An interactive, dynamic website tied to this campaign will include public service announcements (PSA) headlined by prominent Leaders and Youth Icons that youth can identify with, whilst sharing a message to promote moderation, engagement, and community participation. Moderated discussion forums and social networking components; resources on contemporary religious issues; profiles of youth from different communities making a positive impact in their communities; volunteer/job boards that enumerate opportunities for political activism, civic engagement, community service, advocacy, etc.
This public awareness-raising campaign is to create a “buzz” at high schools, college campuses, and youth centers nationwide. The campaign will make public the issues of concern to the community and attempt to address them through several projects, including innumerous lecture series, roundtable discussions, education through art initiatives, and community service projects, etc designed on the relevant lines.
